VIA´s new mini-ITX board: EPIA CL
As reported at PC Web, VIA unveiled a new mini-ITX mainboard EPIA CL strongly resembling EPIA M by having CLE266/VT8235 chipset for C3/Eden CPUs.
What´s the difference between the boards? First of all, EPIA CL has no TV-out EPIA M has VT1622 controller), no IEEE1394 (VT6307S – for EPIA M). Sound controllers also differ 2-ch. in EPIA CL (VT1612A) and 6-ch. in EPIA M (VT1616). But EPIA CL has some enhancements, compared to EPIA M, as well: 4 USB ports vs. only 2, two network controllers (VT6105+VT6103) vs. VT6103 of EPIA M.
There will be two modifications for sale for two processor types: EPIA CL10000 (for 1 GHz C3) and EPIA CL6000 (for 600 MHz Eden).
